The Ace Ticket No-No Special

People on Twitter and Facebook have expressed dislike of the music in our old commercials (DUH NUH DUN, DUH NUH DUN…). For the new one we enlisted the help of Stereo Drive By, a band that features our blogger and web order guru Andy on drums. You can download their EP here for free. The song in the commerical is called “Tightropes”.

2008 Throwback: Boston Red Sox Open The Season In Japan

Remember the start of the Sox season in 2008? I remember scheming for way too long about how I was going to attack the problem of games starting at 5am. It was weird (and pretty fantastic) to start my day immediately with the Sox opener. Not sure I want to do that again, but it was a neat thing to do once.

Our two favorite worlds collide, sports and burritos. Nate Robinson at Chipotle.

The Jet Engine Snowblower

One of the perks of working by the train tracks is getting to see this crazy contraption in action. It blows the snow off of one of the switches on the line the CSX trains run on. Never fails to disappoint.

You may have heard a little bit about the new Red Sox plates in the news. Ace recently won one of these at a Jimmy Fund Charity auction, and we’re going to be giving it away to one of our fans! Number 17 is up for grabs (just like the picture above, just imagine a 7 after the 1), which was worn by Mel Parnell, Dick Radatz, Marty Barrett, and Cecil Cooper among others.
All you have to is send an email to platecontest@aceticket.com with the subject “Number 17”. Entering will add you to our mailing list (you’re still eligible to win if you’re already on the mailing list, and you can unsubscribe at any time). The contest will run from 10/26 to 11/12.
The winner will receive the JF #17 Red Sox plate, fully paid for the first year. The plate can be renewed for $40 a year after that.
